The Artist

About John Robinson the Artist

The artist lived in country Australia when young and qualified in metalwork including heat treatment & welding, then in fine art before undertaking taxidermy for more than twenty years, including three years in Africa. All the while he has been hunting and observing wildlife. His understanding of animal anatomy and his excellent eye have led to positions leading teams of artists designing and constructing zoological exhibits throughout Asia and Australia. His wide range of experience in these fields certainly gives him the credentials to create this fine realistic and artistic sculpture.

John has created and directed a number of bronzes, including a limited edition of an African Cape Buffalo and a ten-metre high Lion for MGM Casino, Macau, the later was produced using techniques from early Chinese foundry practices.
